Superintendent, DPP, Director of Transportation
As Superintendent, I want to thank everyone in West Point for the kindness you have shown me since I started here at West Point Independent School District. I appreciate the hard work you as parents, community members and staff have put forth in preparing our students for the next generation of learners. Together we can accomplish anything. I hope that you will continue to work with your children and making sure that they are prepared and ready to learn every day.
As DPP of the district I have to wear a different hat that might make me look mean at times but I have to follow state rules and guidelines. It is important that you have your child here every day. I understand that they get sick sometimes and things don’t always go the way we plan. I wanted to let you know that you have 5 parent notes to use if you need it. We do take Doctor’s notes up to 10. If someone misses three days they are considered truant and if they miss 6 they are habitual truant which means I have to take it to the court house. Please work with me as we try to educate your children.
Thanks again for your kindness.
